Education

The AACCA Safety Course is recognized as the standard of care for cheerleading risk management. The course is conducted by an AACCA instructor and provides certification for the coach for four years. It covers risk management issues, including medical and legal responsibilities, safety awareness, skill progressions and performer readiness. The AACCA course is required by several state high school associations and qualifies for the NCAA requirement for coaches' safety training. For more information, visit www.aacca.org.

During camp, UCA will be offering classes for advisors and coaches. These classes will cover a variety of topics including, but not limited to: Crowd Leading, Spirit Raising, Developing the Athletic Skills of Cheerleading, and Being an Ambassador of your School or Program. Completion of the UCA Coaches Program or completion of all camp meetings qualifies coaches as “certified or credentialed members”, eligible for $1 Million Dollar Secondary Liability Insurance, and members of the Continuing Education Unit.
