College Cheerleading and Dance National Championship
January 16-18, 2009

We would like to invite you and your squad to participate in The 2009 College Cheerleading and Dance Team National Championship at the Walt Disney World ® Resort in Florida. This year's National Finals will take place January 16-18, 2009.

In addition to our 29 fully paid bids, we will be adding several partial paid bids for 2009!

To be eligible to qualify for fully paid or partial paid bids, teams must attend either a 2008 UCA-UDA College Spirit Camp at one of our nine resident campus locations or host a two or three day UCA-UDA Private Summer Camp. (Your team is required to have at least 10 participants at camp. VROC camps do not satisfy this requirement.)
This updated process does not mean that we are distributing paid bids at our summer camps. The process to receive a full paid or partial paid bid will remain the same as it has been in past years. Teams wanting to qualify for them will still submit an entry tape in the Fall. However, to be considered for these bids, teams will have to attend either a UCA-UDA College Spirit Camp or have had its own UCA-UDA College Private Camp.
Teams which do not attend summer camp with UCA-UDA can still enter and attend the National Championship. The only difference is they will not be eligible to win any of the full paid bids via their entry tapes.

Paid Bid - (A total of 20 cheer paid bids and 9 dance paid bids) - The highest scoring teams in each division will receive free transportation and hotel accommodations (cheer - six hotel rooms for three nights: dance five hotel rooms for three nights). Paid bids will apply for teams in the continental United States. Cheer teams receiving paid bids will automatically advance to the Finals while Dance Teams receiving paid bids will compete in Semi-Finals. The number of paid bids give in any division will be at the discretion of UCA/UDA.

Partial Paid Bid (NEW) - (a total of 15 cheer partial paid bids and a total of 10 dance partial paid bids) - The next highest scoring teams in each division will receive a total of four hotel room for three nights. Teams receiving a partial paid bid must purchase the UCA/UDA Championship Travel Package. Teams receiving a partial paid bid will compete in the Semi-Final round of the competition. The number of partial paid bids given in any division will be at the discretion of UCA/UDA.

At-Large Big - These teams will receive At-Large bids to compete in the Preliminary or Semi-Final Rounds of the Competition based on the results of the video entry competition.
